This was an easy location, located next to Heroes Square, several museums, ice skating in the park, expensive and plain restaurants. There was even a fancy thermal bath nearby in comfortable walking distance. A small zoo was also just a couple blocks away. Everything I love. Not a great pile of shopping opportunities on this street, which is NOT why I travel. The Baroque Hostel has high ceilings, with indoor decor from cupids over the doors, a step-through closet (like Narnia) and a mirror door which led to more rooms. The front desk was always covered, with helpful people who were full of information as well as courtesy. The floors, furniture, bathrooms, and kitchen were kept clean, and the noise levels of the other guests was comfortable. Every direction I walked was worthwhile, as Budapest is beautiful and charming. This was an amazing place to stay and well worth the inexpensive cost.

The interior was super fun, the entrance and little tables outside in the shade were very nice, the rooms were very cool although it was about 30°C outside, everything was very clean and nice. We didn't try the free xbox or other game consoles, but the kitchens were well equipped and we really loved the people and the stay here! There was a single toilet, a shower and a combination of toilet and shower for every 3-4 rooms, so there was never very much waiting time and the location was amazing! Right in front of the nicest park in the city, close to the zoo and the spa, good connections by tram, bus and metro, shops were closeby and there was a really nice italian pizza place around the corner. After our stay they watched our bags for a few hours without asking for a fee. I loved our stay and had a really good time here.

Accommodation in the hostel was great. The fact that we were there with 3 small children was perfect. Until now, we have always stayed in hotels :-). The children really liked running around the accommodation, enjoying every corner for rest and play. They were discovering other corridors after the accommodation through various Narnia doors or mirrors. Perfect location of the accommodation next to the great Liget park for children, where we spent a lot of time. The approach and advice of the long-haired gentleman at the reception with dreadlocks was perfect. So calm and kind sir, thank you. Simply the best hostel we've ever been to and we'll definitely be back. Well thank you.

Very laidback and open atmosphere, where it’s easy to meet other travelers. The place was surprisingly quiet at night, and we stayed there five nights in a family room. It’s a labyrinth of corridors (several hidden behind mirrors or even cabinet doors), which gives it a special atmosphere but also prevents noise transferring. All the staff was very friendly and helpful, with special thanks to the Argentinian night watch and the girls that prepared the breakfast. Location is excellent. The adjacent park has several excellent new musea, old palaces and the famous thermal baths on walking distance. Buses run every 5 minutes, and bring you to nearby metro lines.

The reception staff who was there at night (3AM or such) was super nice, helpful and explained everything to me. I didn't really use the facilities besides shower, but from what I could see the place is well equipped and super clean. My room had 3 beds, and it was very quiet and comfy. The mirror doors between hall and common spaces are very cool and confusing. The decor in the common spaces is very boutique indeed. The room itself not so much, looks more like a dorm room, but i don't mind at all. The airport shuttle service is great.
